 In Local Market Stats

Housing data released by MIBOR today shows a 4.2 percent increase in closed sales for the month of December and a 10.4 percent increase for the quarter ending in December compared to the same time periods one year ago. Pending sales decreased 1.5 percent in December, and decreased 2.2 percent for the quarter. For the fifth month, housing data from Bartholomew and Jennings counties has been incorporated into the full MIBOR service area as the transition of data from the Crossroads listing service to the BLC® listing service is now complete. While the addition of two counties does account for some increase, closed activity in Bartholomew and Jennings counties account for 91 of the 2,765 closings for the month.

For the quarter ending in December, median sales price is up 6.3 percent and average sales price has increased 5.4 percent. Months of inventory decreased to 3.0.
